The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed with regard to the higher quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The company issue created for intervention ordeals a significant inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social sassa status Assistance services,” the agency said.
